Returning to the same organization of the electronics staff at the Boeing Aerospace Group that I had left four-years earlier for my ‘sabbatical’ of cleaning out stalls and hauling horses for the top side of this iceberg called Kay Vaughan Racing Stables, I encountered these fellow engineers, very few of whom I had been acquainted with before. By that time IR&D had been re-allocated to new business projects such as the launch-and-forget missile project to which I and most of these individuals had been assigned. I was a little more lackadaisical than I had been I suppose; at any rate sitting in meetings was very boring to me and I proceeded to make sketches of the participants from the vice president down in my meeting notes. Not everyone thought the sketches were cute.
