So, I’ll go out on a limb and propound that naivety is as responsible for scientific discoveries as a smug reliance on book learning. It’s a stretch, I give you that. But sophisticates know the ‘box’ and its limitations; the naïve do not and thus, they find themselves outside that proverbial box a large percentage of their waking lives. They sometimes find delightful stuff out there that their more sophisticated counterparts are embarrassed to consider and therefore won’t. AI is becoming the embodiment of the box.
