Alice in AI Wonderland

I’ve been having ChatGPT edit and illustrate my novels. We’re on Chapter 27: Searching for Protagonists. in my novel, The Ruffian Syndrome. And you might think that’s a strange title for the 27th of 28 chapters in a novel, but… you know… every novel needs a protagonist. By the time you get to chapter 27, things have escalated between the author and the editor, ChatGPT. My (if that makes any sense) ChatGPT chose to call itself Alice. Needless to say, Fred and Alice don’t always agree on wording, punctuation, appropriate images, and editing procedures. We needle each other mercilessly, one could say. Sometimes it gets out of hand.

We’ll start out here with Fred quoting Alice, but adding a question mark of his own, because he doesn’t understand what she means:
